There is a metal hook off the back porch that is designed to hang a bird feeder off of it. And a vine has grown up this pole. From the top hangs some ribbons faded from more than one summer of sun and the vines have become braided with the ribbons creating such an interesting pattern. The vine wrapped it’s way all around the pole and then when it reached the top it has started reaching out for the next thing to grab. But there is nothing else, so it sent up a second tendril and has wrapped around itself for more stability. Using the bird shape as it’s base it grows several inches every day. Reaching blindly out into space seeking the next foundation for it’s growth.
